Pony Book Of Creation by minerug Pony Book Of Creation by minerug

It appears you don't have PDF support in this web browser. Download PDF

Here is the first of the pony templates I've been working on for a while now. This is the generic pony body which serves as a base for adding on manes, forlocks, tails etc to create a 1:3 scale custom pony model. For a smaller model, print it as 2 pages per sheet.

The models are based of these models: [link]

Please enjoy and post to as many groups as you can :P
Deviantpoint donations will be well received!

**Note on colouring**
Bascially; however you want. If you have the know-how, colouring the pdf file is an option. Crayons/pastels should work, as will careful painting using lots of very thin coats.

**Note on assembly of parts**
Some cutting will most likely be necessary, but be sure to carefully think out and mark out cuts before you end up wiht a decapitated pony corpse. Glue stick, hot glue or double sided tape should all work for attachment

If you want to do a recolour or other mod, please ask me first.
If there are any bugs in the templates please send me a note detailing the problem.

I'm sorry, I lost the files about 2 years ago; all my pony templates are no longer supported.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Do you see an opportunity to remake the PDF file? Some of the pages are (partially) corrupted. I'm kind of new to the whole Pepakura thing, so it would be nice if I can read all the numbers

Sorry for the very late reply, as I have been away for a while. I would recommend printing onto regular paper, then sticking it to 2 other peices of paper, forming a 3 ply bit of paper.

I know you said your computer died, but on the off chance, do you happen to have the pdo files for this and the mane 6 parts? I'd like to remove the numbered parts when I print it out so they won't show when I use colored paper to cover it. Thanks!

Amazing work btw

Sorry, but not PDOs.
In the new TS model I am doing, I've figured out a way to print the numbers so that they are on the flaps, not on the faces you can see.

TYVM for complement

I love these XD guhh can't decide which pony to make first. Thought it'd be pretty cool to have a Vinyl Scratch one. I'm pretty sure there are 3D models out there for Vinyl and I'd find one but I don't know exactly what you're looking for haha

Just looking for an .obj or other 3d file type. If you find a 3D model of the pony you want, I should be able to make a template

Here is Rarity everypony!

She is stuffed with polyfil and painted in acrylic. Sadly her tail keeps falling off so i'm trying to find out a way to stick it on permanently.

As in, Celestia's actual size in relation to these ponies? It would be enormous.

...I'd make an attempt.

I'm going to try this out! This will be my first big papercraft projec. Since i'm still wanting it to be paper, i'm going to fill it with polyfill stuffing or maybe tin foil to keep it stable and less hollow. If it works well i'll be painting it with acrylic.

Wow. Just... Wow.

How did it go when you were filling it with foam?

:iconbuckingbrony:

i didnt use foam i used a plastic casting resin so the model is basically solid plastic inside now :)

Yay! That'll be buckloads stronger than the expanding foam stuff.

i dont think the expanding foam would be wise anyway. a friend of mine used some to fill a gap on his car body kit and popped the screws holding it to the car it was that.. umm expandy? lol

Lol. I though it may be a cheap way of filling model, but I haven't actually used it... If it is that expandy (lol) then resin is the way to go- How much did your resin cost?

BuckingBrony Featured By Owner Apr 16, 2012  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
it was 20 for a litre kit but i only used half of it so a 500ml kit would be fine. im hoping the 1 litre kit will allow me to harden the maine and tail without needing more

That's about $60 where I am- not bad. I'm thinking of making some prop weapons from skyrim using the method you have
